Petersburg Mi starting the bookcase

I had a visitor on the jobsite today - see picture below!!!

Ive started the uprights for the bookcase. The assembly is as follows: Each upright needs to be built out wider, so the fluted face trim covers nicely, and theres not too much reveal behind it. So, Ive elected to use some 2x2s and anchor to the ceiling, wall, and countertop, and "skin" both sides of that to build the thickness of the upright.

Petersburg MI the glass doors

Its been quite a while since the last post, but Ive been dilligently working on the smaller details of the project. Some of the larger notable items would be the installation of the base cabinet doors - they look great! We also have the custom glass top and shelves going in, and I will have some new pictures this coming week!
For now, Im working on the two large glass doors that will be located at the display area (originally the closet area). We thought this area would make a neat display area, so to top things off, Im making glass doors for it! The glass needs to be tempered because of the size, and after two weeks, they finally came in! Now I can wrap the glass with cherry, give them an edge, and finish them off! Here are some pictures of the framework...
